i-SPY is a quality assurance partner with preeminent Award-winning restaurant operators such as Stephen Starr’s Starr Restaurant Organization, Jose Andres’ Think Food Group and Jose Garces’ Garces Restaurant Group, as well as with Four and Five-star Mobil-rated restaurants, Five-Diamond and Leading Hotels of the World hotels, and successful family-themed restaurants.

Marc Kravitz, founder of i-SPY, and a graduate from Hofstra University, is the author of four editions of $18 and UNDER. After briefly writing for Foodline.com, Marc wrote Under the Table for Philadelphia City Paper and Philadelphia Style magazine. He has guest lectured to hospitality students at The Restaurant School and Drexel University in Philadelphia.

Founded in 2002, i-SPY was created with the goal of providing objective quality assurance mystery shopper services—from the guest's perspective.

What separates i-SPY from other "mystery shop" companies is the Quality and Accuracy of the Details provided in our reports. As part of our training program, we recruit and then take EVERY candidate "shopper" on training meals, allowing us first-hand to test their ability to reproduce accurate details during a dining experience. Less than 9% of our applicants are invited to partake in a training meal; only one of three candidates meet the standard we expect of our shoppers and perform "shops" for i-SPY.
